The Best Home Improvement Deals in Houston – July 7-13

We’ve rounded up the best home improvement deals in Houston to help you save money and turn your house into a home.

Here are the best home improvement deals in Houston that we could find.

Home Depot

Need to replace your washer and dryer? Want to upgrade your kitchen appliances to something sleeker with a smart-home component? Through July 10, Home Depot is offering more savings the more you buy. You’ll save:

  • $50 when you buy two appliances
  • $100 when you buy three
  • $200 when you buy four
  • $300 when you buy five
  • $600 when you buy six

Even if you only need to replace just one appliance, Home Depot is also offering up to  40% off certain refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers and 35% off ranges, range hoods, ovens, microwaves and wine coolers.

Vacuums and floor cleaners are also on sale! Regular vacuuming can help prevent infestations and keep you home pest-free. As we all know, insects and rodents look for places with easy access to food, and what better place than your home? Do your kids like to snack in front of the TV and leave crumbs behind? Do you have a teen that likes to take a plate of snacks to the bedroom and then forget to bring the plate back down for weeks at a time?

Not only are regular vacuums on sale at Home Depot, but also robot vacuums are now up to 20% off. These round little robots will go room to room, sucking up dirt and crumbs. You can program it to start when you leave for work in the morning, and when you come home, your floors will be crumb free.

Lowe’s

If you’re looking for competitive pricing with appliances, then Lowe’s is a good place for comparative shopping. The home improvement store is also having a big sale on appliances, set to end July 10. It too is also offering up to 40% off certain appliances, and the more you buy, the more you save.

But that’s not all. If you plan to tackle a big painting job, then Lowe’s has a good deal to get some money back towards another Lowe’s purchase. Valspar and Sherwin Williams paints are on sale and you can get:

  • $15 back via a Lowe’s gift card with the purchase of 114-fl oz – 128-fl oz cans
  • $30 back via a Lowe’s gift card with the purchase of 342-fl oz – 384-fl oz pails
  • $45 back via a Lowe’s gift card with the purchase of 570-fl oz – 640-fl oz pails

The deal covers: Valspar Reserve, Signature, SeasonPLUS, Ultra, Duramax and 2000 as well as HGTV HOME by Sherwin-Williams Showcase, Weathershield and Infinity, Cabot exterior stain and Rust-Oleum RockSolid Deck In One Day.

A good paint job doesn’t just make your home look nice. It’s also a good time to look for pest control issues in your walls that could become problems later. As you paint, look for cracks and crevices be just big enough to let a creature in. We know that homeowners who pay attention as they’re completing home improvement projects are the best at keeping pests out of their homes. Pay attention as you’re doing your work and be on the lookout for any potential infestation sites.

The Fourth of July may be past us, but it’s still cookout season. Lowe’s has select grills, power equipment and tools on sale. If your deck isn’t the most popular spot on the block, a new grill will change that. To keep it clean and in good condition, power tools and equipment like a good washer will keep your deck looking like new.

Decks can also make for a good infestation site, and even if the pests are outside, they can still cause problems for your home, especially if left untreated. Termites, for example, love all the little holes and nooks in your deck, and under it, rodents can dig underground and find their way into your basement. With regular maintenance, you can prevent infestations or at least catch them before they become a serious problem.

Bering’s Hardware

A Houston staple since 1940, Bering’s Hardware may offer plenty of gifty items like chocolates and stationary, but their sales can’t be beat.

Right now, the Summer Sale is going on, and shoppers can score some great savings on big-ticket items as well as everyday items that could also use a restock. One of the best items on sale now would have the be Kitchen Aid’s best-selling Artisan five-quart stand mixer. A wedding registry favorite, this mixer can handle just about any baking job. Its many beaters and attachments make it a versatile appliance. The stainless steel bowl will last through hundreds of batches of cookies, and the mixer itself comes in a variety of colors.

Bering’s Hardware also has patio tables, lawn chairs and hammocks on sale to turn your backyard into an oasis. While you’re there, don’t forget to pick up a citronella candle — also on sale — to help ward off mosquitoes.

True Value Hardware

Though True Value may have a smaller footprint than Home Depot or Lowe’s, they too run great promotions. Right now, they’ve got great deals on patio furniture and other outdoor accessories that will turn your patio or pool into an oasis.

Extra seating is always a must for homeowners with great patios and pool, especially if that seating can be taken on the go or just packed up and put out only when needed. True Value has several different folding patio chair options, including the classic woven style or sports-style chairs with cup holders. Some can even fold out so guests can lounge back and relax in style.

All of these chairs can easily be folded up and taken on the go, so they function as both additional as well as on-the-go seats for sporting events. If you have young kids that play football, soccer, baseball or softball, these seats would be a welcome change from the hard bleachers.

True Value is also running deals on other outdoor accessories such as grills and even small pools. The sale ends July 14, so get in quick.

Bed, Bath and Beyond

Need to replace the pots and pans in your kitchen? Bed, Bath and Beyond is running a sale through July 15 on Rachael Ray cookware, so now is a good time to invest in something good for your kitchen.

Rachael Ray’s collection combines quality with a little bit of fun and whimsey. Her collections come in a number of fun colors, and many are nonstick, which means your egg yolks won’t break from sticking to the pan. While you can buy her collection as a set, you can also buy piece by piece and create your own set.
